Demise of the Demon King Read online

  'Ok fine, I trust you. Soldiers start forming the Rakshakavach vyuh.'

  On the command of the Demon King, demons started surrounding Hidimb. Soon the one lakh demon troops formed a very strong surroundings. The second and third stage were designed with the demons having large spears and shields in their hands, but the first level was made so weak that one can easily destroy that groups of demons. Also the guards of the second and third level were lying down, so that one cannot predict the strength of the inside stages before entering in it.'

  'Our army is ready to reach Markesh, elder. The confidence level of the Asuras seems to be destroyed, thousands of them are killed, and not a single warrior of our army is harmed till now. It's the right time to attack with the Sharvyuh.' Tejasvi suggested army chief Akhand.

  'I agree with you, Tejasvi. Ourvyuhis prepared, and this vyuh will surely tear the dense army of the Demon King, and will help you to reach him directly. So you proceed with this one thousand troops.'

  Tejasvi, Yugandhar and Suryam were standing at the pointed portion of theSharvyuh.On the command of their army chief, they stepped forward. The rest of the army were fighting under the leadership of Prince of Magadha,'Shalv'. Suvarya, Akhand and Vakrbaahu were guarding the Sharvyuhfrom the other three directions. Thevyuh was moving towards Markesh, destroying the demons in their path.

  'Gurudev, all the three fierce warriors are coming towards us. What's your plan? And when will you work on it?'

  'Don't worry Markesh, let these fools come more nearer to us.' When the Demon's mentor Bhairavnath noticed that the Sharvyuh is coming nearer to them, he raised his hands and closed his eyes. As a result a magical 'Vina' (an instruments to control the serpents), appeared in his hand, called one demon and ordered him.

  'Give this vina to Hidimb as soon as possible. And tell him that it's the ordered of the demon's mentor that he has to play this vina till sunset.' That soldier rushed towards Hidimb.

  That soldier reached Hidimb and told him about the command of the demon's mentor. Hidimb started playing that vina as per his command.

  'I got your plan, Gurudev.Yugandhar and Suvarya will be helpless through the sound of this vina. Vakrbaahu and Akhand will be engaged in protecting them. While I will face Tejasvi and Suryam.' The Demon King Markesh understood the evil plan of Bhairavnath.

  'You got it right, Markesh, that's my actual plan.' The evil eyes of the demon's mentor were turning red.

  Tejasvi was leading from the pointed part of the Sharvyuh,he was rushing towards the Demon King rapidly. Suddenly the sounds of the vine touched the ears of Yugandhar. He and Suvarya laid down on the ground, both of them were in severe pain.

  'What happened, Yugandhar? Why you are lying down on the ground?' Suryam asked the Yugandhar.

  'The sound of this vina is sucking my strength. My mind is not able to concentrate, I am losing all my powers.' Yugandhar holds his head with pain.

  'You have to keep patience, brother. Elder Tejasvi is going nearer to Markesh with the great speed.'

  'My strength and ability to think, is almost vanished. You go and help Tejasvi, I can't come with you.'

  Akhand rushed and came nearer to Yugandhar 'Suryam, you go. Tejasvi is about to reach the Demon King, you go and help him, till then I will protect Yugandhar, go.'

  'As you wish, elder one.' Suryam left.

  At the next moment Yugandhar thought about Suvarya. 'Suvarya, where she is? She might be also suffering from this same pain.'

  While on the other side, Tejasvi was destroying the demon troops rapidly with his divine weapons. Soon he was in front of the Demon King Markesh.

  'Just think of your divine god, Markesh. Because your demise is very close to you.' The blood of fierce warrior Tejasvi was boiled seeing him.

  'Who will kill whom, let the time take this decision, young man. You have come here for a war, so let's start the duel.'

  After being challenged by the Demon King, Tejasvi raised his bow and started his rain of arrows towards Markesh. All his weapons disappeared in the armor of the Demon King. The fists of Tejasvi were bounded with anger. Seeing this Markesh evocated a divine weapon and targeted it towards Tejasvi, but before that weapon could touch Tejasvi, Suryam reached there and he disabled that weapon through the divine sword of Sage Omeshwar. Now Suryam and Tejasvi were prepared to face the Demon King.

  On the other side, Yugandhar was worried about Suvarya 'Elder Akhand, please bring Suvarya in front of me. I don't even know about the pain through which she is suffering from.'

  'You don't worry Yugandhar. I have seen her pain, then only I could predict your condition. Vakrbaahu is protecting her, nothing will happen to her.' Akhand tried to calm him down.

  'Then also I want to see her, please bring her to me. I want to see her safe.'

  On the command of Akhand, Vakrbaahu brought Suvarya at that place. Thereafter, Akhand took a tough decision, and called Shalv and Vakrbaahu for the next step.

  'Prince Shalv, you order your few troops to guard Vakrbaahu while taking Yugandhar and Suvarya out of the battlefield safely. Till then I'll try to reach that wretch Hidimb, who is continuously playing that vina.'

  'As you wish, Chief.' Vakrbaahu lifted Yugandhar and Suvarya on his shoulders and left the battlefield. Shalv arranged two thousands warriors to guard them.

  And within a prahar, both of them were out of the battlefield, but they were not in a position to utter a word.

  After this, Akhand collected thirty thousand troops with him, and stepped towards Hidimb to destroy his siege. The mission started with the thirty thousand warriors.

  On the other side, now Suvarya and Yugandhar could not hear the sound of that vina. They both got back to their senses. Therefore Yugandhar ordered Vakrbaahu

  'Vakrbaahu, I and Suvarya are fine now. You go to the battlefield, and help my brother Akhand in the war.'

  'I am sorry, but I cannot violet the command of army chief Akhand. If you will try to rush towards the battlefield in excitement, my duty is to stop you. It's the clear command of our army chief, that until he destroys the vina and kills Hidimb, my duty is to protect you. And till then I will not let you enter the battlefield at any cost.'

  Yugandhar appeared to be helpless, it was no gain in moving forward.

  On the other side, in the leadership of Shalv the army of humans were fighting with the demons. While on the second side, Akhand with his thirty thousand troops, reached the first level of thevyuhcreated by Bhairavnath. According to the plan of the Demon's mentor first level was created, so that it could be easily destroyed. And Akhand was about to get trapped in his plan, and that happened. The impatient Akhand raised his mace, and he smashed it towards the first door (level) with all his strength. As like the leaves flows in the air during speedy winds, the demons who were along with the small shields and swords rises up in the air with that blow, and thereafter they falls on the ground. Akhand stepped towards the next level along with his troops, but when only ten thousand warriors have crossed the first level, hundreds of demons came with the long spears and shields and closed that level (door). Rest twenty thousand warriors were left outside. Without any leader, that group of warriors was dispersed. TheAsuras surrounded them from all the four sides, but then also they furiously fought with the demons.

  Akhand got worried seeing this, he collected all his strength and smashed the ground through his mace. The earth began to shiver, it was an earthquake for that part of the ground. The guards of the second level falls over each other, but it didn't helped Akhand. It was very complicated design of the army by Bhairavnath, as within moments the other demon troops replaced the injured guards without wasting a moment, and closed the level with long shields and spears. Akhand was too much worried.

  'Oh God, I don't have any divine weapon with me, so that I can destroy these demons at a time. Tejasvi and Suryam are fighting with the Demon King. They cannot dominate in this war, until and unless Yugandhar joins them. But my first duty is to protect these warriors, who are fighting un
der me. So I have to continue this war.' Akhand thought in his mind, and rushed with the ten thousand troops to destroy the door created by the demon's army. But the strength and count of the demons were increasing like insects. One moment Akhand breaks the door, and the other moment, they were replaced by other demons.

  On the other side, Tejasvi and Suryam were engaged in war. The divine sword of Omeshwar disabled the divine weapon of the Demon King, this raised some confidence in Tejasvi and Suryam.

  'Brother. The divine sword of Sage Omeshwar, disabled this weapon of the Demon King very easily. This is the sword, through which I killed that wretch Adheem, and this sword will only kill this Demon King Markesh.' Suryam given that sword to Tejasvi.

  Markesh attacked Suryam with spear. That spear injured his shoulder, he falls on the ground.

  'Markesh……' Tejasvi rushed towards the Demon King.

  The Demon King also took his sword, and rushed towards Tejasvi.

  'The clashing sound of both the sword, shivered the whole battlefield.

  While Yugandhar was turning eager to know the situation of his troops in the war. He requested Vakrbaahu, 'Vakrbaahu, atleast you go and enquire that what is going on in the battlefield.'

  'Sure.' Vakrbaahu moved forward and enquired about his troops. Thereafter, he returned back to Yugandhar.

  'Mahabali Akhand is trying to break the vyuhaof Hidimb. But the thirty thousand warriors who were fighting under him, most of them are surrounded by the demon troops. I am unable to see Mahabali Akhand anywhere, he might be inside the vyuha. While Prince Tejasvi and Suryam are engaged in fighting with the Demon King.'

  Yugandhar was disturbed listening all this, 'O Dev Sheshnaag, show me the path. If I will not participate in this war, then we can never win this war.'

  'There is one way, Naagraj.' Suvarya was having something in her mind.

  'If you have something in your mind which can solve our problem, then please tell me.'

  'You have said that, you are the son of a human and a serpent lady. Can't your human form could be separated from your serpent form? Then the sound of the vina cannot effect you.'

  Then spirit of Vikramajit appeared in front of them.

  'Suvarya is right, Yugandhar. Now this is the only solution of this problem.'

  Suvarya and Yugandhar joined their hands in front of him, thereafter Yugandhar said

  'But for that, I have to leave my serpent form forever, I have to be a normal human warrior after that, Father.'

  'Can't you do that for the victory in this war?'

  'Of course I can do it, father. But before leaving my serpent form, I have to spill out my intense venom, and if I would do it, then whole environment will turn venomous. And our whole army and my brothers too, will be affected through this venom.'

  All the three were in deep thoughts, then Suvarya thought of a solution.

  'I will have your venom, Naagraj. I can do it with my will power.'

  'No, never, I can't let you do that. I accept, that only an Ichhadhari Naag have the capability to hold the venom of another serpent. But even the most powerful serpent of the world cannot survive, receiving my venom.'

  When Vikramajit saw Yugandhar in dilemma, he tried to convince him

  'We don't have any other option, Yugandhar.'

  'I am sorry, father. But I cannot follow your order this time. I cannot even tolerate an injury on Suvarya, and you are saying me to kill her. This is not possible for me.' Yugandhar laid down on his knees in front of Vikramajit, and joined his hand in front of him.

  On the other side, the duel among Tejasvi and the Demon King was going on. While the Demon's mentor Bhairavnath, was continuously increasing the demons in the Rakshakavach vyuh of Hidimb to stop Akhand. Tejasvi and Suryam were injured severely while fighting Markesh. One soldier, came to Yugandhar with the information.

  'My lord, army chief Akhand has ordered Vakrbaahu to join the war. Our twenty thousand troops were trapped and killed in the Rakshakavach vyuh of Bhairavnath, which is formed to protect Hidimib.'

  Listening this, Vikramajit tried to convince Yugandhar

  'Just see Yugandhar, your brothers are in danger. Thousands of warriors have sacrificed their life. Now this is the time, take the decision my son, take the decision. Your decision will decide the future of one lakh warriors who were captured in Patallok since years. Their freedom depends on your decision. Your one weakness could turn this war in the favour of the Asuras.'

  Seeing the helpless Yugandhar, there were tears in Suvarya's eyes. Yugandhar was lying down in front of Vikramajit, there were tears in his eyes of being in the situation of dilemma. Then Suvarya took a tough decision.

  'You don't worry, my lord. The disgrace of the demise of thousands of warriors, will not be on the soul of Naagraj, I'll not let that happen. If we could win this war through my sacrifice, then I have to sacrifice my life.' said Suvarya, she pulled out a poniard from her waist, and stabbed her abdomen.

  'Suvarya….' Yugandhar screamed. He rushed towards Suvarya to protect her from falling. Suvarya's head was now on his lap.

  'Aarya…. don't waste time….., transfer your venom….. in my body, and let my sacrifice succeed.' Suvarya was taking hiccups, and requested Yugandhar.

  'No, Suvarya, I cannot give you this painful death.'

  Vikramajit tried to convince him

  'I can understand your pain my son. Years before, my Chitrlekha also died in front of my eyes. But you have to get rid of this pain. If you really love Suvarya, then pay respect to her sacrifice. She has sacrificed her life to save the thousands of warriors fighting for you, so you must protect them all. They are waiting for you.

  'I agree…. with… your….. father, Naagraj. Atleast don't….. let my sacrifice go… wasted. Although… we are.. not going… to meet.. in this… life. But I assure you…. that… we'll surely meet…. in some other….. birth. I'll return… back. It's my promise… to you.'

  Yugandhar hugged Suvarya. Thereafter, he closed his eyes and tried to control his emotions. Then he brought his lips near Suvarya's lips and spilled out all the venom of his body. The whole body of Suvarya turned blue, she was in a severe pain while having that venom, but then also she was smiling at her last time, to reduce the pain of Yugandhar. Soon, she stopped breathing, her body was motionless. There were no symptoms of life in her body.

  The eyes of Suvarya were closed forever.

  'Suvarya…………..' Yugandhar screamed with pain.

  Seeing him in pain, Vikamajit tried to turn his pain into the flame of vengeance.

  'It's not the time for mourning, it's the time for the revenge. That wretch Hidimb is responsible for Suvarya's death, it's time to punish him. Get up and destroy the army of demons, your troops are waiting for you.'

  The words of Vikramajit turned the pain of Yugandhar into the flame of vengeance. He closed his eyes and concentrated. As a result, a serpent came out from his body. Now he was an ordinary human warrior. He stood up and evocated his divine Axe.

  'The divine Axe of Dev Sheshnag, and this sword of Sage Omeshwar will destroy the whole existence of the demons.'

  Seeing this, Vakrbaahu turned into a mammoth, and came near Yugandhar.

  'Let's go, Naagraj.Just Ascend on my back, I'll take you to the battlefield with the speed of wind.'

  'Hidimb…….…' The roaring sound of Yugandhar spreaded all over the battlefield.

  Vakrbaahu rushed towards the battlefield with him. The demons were crushed like the rodents by that huge mammoth. When the demon's mentor noticed that the sound of vine is not affecting Yugandhar, he felt that his plan is going to fail. Vakrbaahu had crushed the thousands of demons. Bhairavnath left the guiding responsibility of Rakshakavach vyuh of Hidimb and decided to alert the Demon King Markesh. Soon he came nearer to him.
